Freelancing is a self employed business model where a person is hired by someone for some time period for a particular project or task. Freelancing could be a full time job or you can work as freelancer to generate extra income.

Employers wont give you the work unless they see that you have some experience so it would better to make some projects that they can see, create a nice profile and write all about your work and experience (previous company you have worked with, your job role and all) so don’t forget to write about it.

You can select any niche you like and have skills for for example: Web development, Painting, Photography, Editing and so on but its better to always looks for what is in demand so that you can earn properly what I meant is if you offer service that people demands it will be easy to get clients.

- Continously develop your skills: Freelancers are hired based on their knowledge and work so its important to keep learning new skills, Adapt to new changes and keep expanding your knowledge so that you can provide high level service to your clients. You can learn new skills online through websites like UpGrad, Udemy, YouTube and more.
- Build a working relationship with your clients: Building a relationship with a client is the most important part of any business and if you are working as a freelancer this will be the most important part of your work. So instead of thinking them as a one time work build a professional relationship with them this will lead to repeated work and they will also refer you to others and brings more work.
Few ways to do that is : By providing excellent service, Communicating with your clients this creates a rapport with the clients, Building trust by finishing their work within their time, giving them more value.
