The news of Twitter chief information security officer is leaving the company is been all over the internet. Michael Coates, who joined Twitter on January 2015 is quitting his job as he want to start his own company. According to the sources Coates has already inform this to the company, but there has not been any official announcement by the company on the matter.

Michael Coates confirmed the news on Wednesday via Twitter

Twitter has been an amazing ride, but as I mentioned internally a few weeks back, my time is coming to an end. I’m confident to leave the program with an amazing security team. What’s next? I’m off to co-found a security startup – hope to share more about what we’re doing soon!

Same day Michael Zalewski, director of information security engineering at Google also confirms his departure from the company after working for 11 Years with the company.
