Spotify’s new Xbox One update allows you use Cortana to operate your music
With the latest update that has been recently released. Spotify’s Xbox One app now supports Cortana voice controls in the US, allowing you to request certain playlists, as well as start and stop music playback, the streaming service announced today. Along with a redesigned app, the update also includes a number of tweaks that are designed to make it easier to get to your personal library, recently played songs, and personalized playlists.
While Xbox One was launched with ambitious voice control integration, it wasn’t until 2015 that Microsoft added its voice assistant to the console. Thankfully, considering the Kinect was unceremoniously killed off last year, Cortana can be accessed using just about any Xbox One headset that uses a 3.5mm headphone jack. The new update is available to everyone starting today.
