Battery life is one of the most important factor that matters when someone is looking for a Laptop. There are some incredibly powerful laptops which provide a good battery back up but still they are not enough for a typical working day with  a portable environment.

At Computex 2018, the Intel teased their new Low Power Display Technology which is a combination of a special LCD display with a clever power management. The new 13 inch display is designed by Sharp/Innolux and it only consumes only 1 Watt of power which is half of what other such laptop consumes managed. This new  technology will boost battery life by four to eight hours, depending on usage of the users. At present this ultra portables laptop provides around 20 hours of battery life a normal usage of video playback, which means typically this new intel laptop can provide 28 hours of battery life with normal basic usage.

 

The new XPS 13 with the new display tech provides increased the battery life in comparison to other laptops that are currently available in the market. Now at the moment it’s not clear how much of the benefit will comes from this new panel and how much from improved power management will it provide. also It is worth noting that while a 28 hours of video playback is impressive video is really easy for laptop this days.

Now we don’t know how long the laptop will provide back up as it is under process but as intel said that it could last about 28 hours we assume that with a typical working day usage it would last to 18 to 20 hours. We will seen when it will available in the market till that time just wait.
