YouTube is testing video download feature for desktop web browser reports Android Police. If know that if you’re eligible for the test, which runs through October 19th, check out YouTube’s experimental features page, which lists tests available for Premium subscribers.

According to Google: If you have opted in and on a supported browser i.e. the latest versions of Chrome, Edge, or Opera, when you’re watching a video, you should see an option to download the video under the player.

To download a video, users must simply click the download button while watching, or click on the 3-dot menu while browsing.

Once downloaded, users can access these videos on a downloads feed, which can be seen via sidebar navigation.

This is different to the video file third-party websites give to store on the hard drive. The feature will also allow users to watch YouTube videos offline.
