Rahul and Sonia Gandhi Arrive at Sevagram Ashram in Wardha

Congress president Rahul Gandhi arrived at the Sevagram Ashram in Maharashtra’s Wardha on Tuesday, 2 October, for the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting, along with UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh. The party will discuss the country’s social, political and cultural atmosphere and pass a resolution urging people to follow Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of love, peace and brotherhood, reported PTI.

Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi paid tributes at Rajghat on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary.

Now the CWC is the top decision-making body of the Congress. The meeting is on 2 October which is being seen as the Congress seeking to send a political message to the country ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Also At the CWC meeting in Maharasthra’s Wardha, the Congress will discuss the country’s social, political and cultural atmosphere and pass a resolution urging people to follow Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of love, peace and brotherhood.
