Qualcomm has announced today that it is working with Mozilla to bring a compatible version of Firefox to Snapdragon powered Windows computers on ARM. The new 64-bit version of Firefox will be optimized to run on these computers for better performance.

Firefox is now making each browser tab run on individual cores in the CPU and Qualcomm, which has announced the eight-core Snapdragon 8cx earlier today, will have plenty of cores to spare. There are few additional details available.

“Mozilla is excited to be collaborating with Qualcomm and optimizing Firefox,” says Mozilla in a blog post, “We can’t wait to see Firefox delivering blazing fast experiences for the always on, always connected, multi-core Snapdragon compute platform with Windows 10.”
